Cheese on both the inside and out is awesome. Use a sliced cheese on the inside and sprinkle cheese on the outside.

If you like spicy.... a cheddar, cream cheese, and jalapeno grilled sandwich is awesome. Just be sure to sautee the fresh jalapenos first.

Melt some butter an coat the outside of a couple of pieces of sourdough, then dust with parmesan. I use cheddar and occasionally some feta for the inside cheese. Cook over medium heat in a skillet with some butter in it until outside is golden and inside is gooey.

When I said a grilled cheese, I was talking along the line of Croque Monsieur

So you, by saying grilled cheese, meant nothing remotely close to a grilled cheese.

I was excited to see about the mayo over butter (never thought of that) and then you took it up another notch

Which would make it a ham sandwich

I can handle calling something a grilled cheese still if it only has jalapenos or something that wouldn't be a sandwich on its own, but a full out meat item makes it no longer grilled cheese.

I’ve always put meat on my grilled cheese sandwich (ham, bacon, etc). I consider it a grilled cheese because of the way it’s cooked

Check out the hash browns I made. Most people call it "ratatouille", but I've always made my hash browns this way and it has potatoes in it, so it's hash browns.

OP is a dick in almost all his threads on this board. That’s why I will from this point forward answer his million bullshite questions with equally bullshite answers.

The best grilled cheese is to dump a bunch of shredded Mexican blend on a propane grill. And then add turkey bacon and crab legs.
