OXO Good Grips was the ATK pick years ago, and in an updated test in 2022, which included scissors and rockers, it won again. I've had one for 10 years or so, and it works great.

The best pizza cutter was sharp, with a tall, visible 4-inch wheel that cruised through toppings and crust with ease. It was heavier than most, at just over 10 ounces, and this extra heft gave it nice momentum for easier cutting. It also had a comfortable, grippy handle that testers could fold their fingers around for maximum power. Its open design didn’t trap food and it emerged from 10 rounds in the dishwasher looking and working like new. Our old favorite came out on top again. It was versatile enough to slice pastry dough and precisely portioned every pizza we threw its way. Apparently you can reinvent the wheel—but for pizza, don’t bother.

I use an 8" chef knife to cut pizza, works pretty well for other things too.

Go to your local restaurant supply store. You can get one for a very reasonable price. If you are in Baton Rouge I would suggest Ducote's on Florida near Foster.

I’d love a rocker blade. Definitely the way to go. But I don’t make or buy enough pizza to justify trying to jam another gadget in my already stuffed drawers.

And that was a mistake.

Dexter-Russell Pizza Cutter
They also sell replacement blades for when they wear out.

Yankee. I've only seen that done in midwestern households.

Friend,
I wish for many years of happy and easy pizza cutting. I was first put on that cutter about a decade ago while talking with Scott Weiner of Scott’s Pizza Tours in New York. He has one on his person at most times. My preference at home is the OXO one, but the one you have is portable and works equally as well. One could say it makes cutting fun. Please give us updates on your experience with it when you are able.
Yours,
TulaneLSU

I was using a butter knife the other day and the handle broke so I won't suggest that.
Nothing like a handle breaking causing you to go knuckles deep in pizza.

Storing Rats rocker knife in your drawers would be a bad idea. Places the family jewels in real jeopardy!

4” diameter wheel cutter with a large hilt and a sturdy handle.

The ones that are made in Japan are bulletproof.

I use a ulu knife from Alaska. Sister bought it for me, from a cruise.
