Yep, my vote too. Bland, chewy shite that only has the flavor of the drawn butter you use to dip it in.

Oh, and one of the most expensive items on most menus to boot.

The upvote/downvote in this thread is interesting.

Telling for a lot of the foods.

I’m kinda of with you on the burrito. Too much shite going on. I’m more of a taco or fajita guy.

They're overdone now, but it's portable food for a hard working Jose'. Sorta like boudin.

You see something called "smoothie bowls" a lot on Instagram, and I think they're stupid. It is just pureed fruit. Why not just eat the fruit? Or drink a smoothie? You defeat the entire convenience of pureeing fruit by placing whole fruit on top that you now have to eat with a utensil and chew.

About a dozen or so times at local restaurants or at high end parties I've attended. The first time I had lobster was as a pre-teen at T-Pitari's on Claiborne Ave. back in the 60's. I ate it because that is what our host ordered, but I wasn't impressed.

I've given it a chance in my opinion, but find it to be somewhat of a pretentious thing to eat, like of like escargot.

The only thing I've ever done with pork belly is make cracklin with it. Long, slow cooking to get it rendered, remove it from the grease, clean the oil and fry them a second time at a high temperature to make the skins pop for that real crunchy texture.

To hell with paying $15 a lb. for fried pork belly from shops.

You need to get a burrito bowl with the tortilla on the side. It allows you to mix everything up and control what goes on the tortilla.

I would probably just eat the bowl with a fork. Other than keeping food off my shirt I don’t really have much use for a tortilla.
