LOL...

I see they have Short Stop on there... It good for quantity not quality..
Bear's is good but a tad expensive..
Last time I went to R&O I got bad heartburn from the RB Po-boy.. But it tasted pretty good just not later...
Parkway is good.. They dust and cook their shrimp the old fashioned way..

Does any place batter their oysters in cornmeal anymore? I remember Bozo's used to do that... The best way to have fried oysters...

If you’re up I-55 on the north shore, Quik-Way in Amite has great RB and shrimp po-boys.

Parkway kind of lives off of its reputation

Their Shrimp Poboy is fantastic. Their Roast Beef needs salt.

Back in the 80s and early 90s, R&O's used to have the most incredible softshell crab po-boy on the planet. The thing would hang off of both sides about 3 inches or so. It was hands down the best po-boy in the city. Unfortunately, by the late 90s it had gone WAY down in both quantity and quality. And, when it did, they jacked up the price.

I had a soft shell crab poboy at R&O’s last weekend. Two fat crabs. It was the best food I’ve had at a restaurant in a while. Don’t recall the price, but everything is so expensive anyway. Whatever it was, it was worth it.

I don’t think that sounds good at all.

No disrespect.

Way too maximalist. Smashing two things together like that is no feat.

There’s a soft spot in my heart for Parkway but I’ll only get shrimp now. Their RB has just gone downhill. Last one I had was almost a burnt flavor.

Parkway’s Rueben might be my favorite thing on the menu (maybe not a good sign for a poboy joint).

Anyone hating on Short Stop just doesn’t appreciate a perfectly good poboy. Their RB (my favorite is the bbq roast beef) has a great texture and flavor.

Short stop has really taken a fall. Should not be on the list.

Hot smoked sausage with creole mustard and chili gravy, add american cheese is the best.
