Kentwood Delivery vs buying water botles at Sams, etc

Our household is going through 2 45 packs of 1/2 liter bottle water a week. (No... getting the wife and kids to drink tap water is not an option).
This is about $5 case so $20 every 2 weeks.
Plus it obviously creates a lot of water bottles.
I'm looking at Kentwood delivery and I'm having a bad day I guess cause I can't figure this out.
We are consuming 90 1/2L bottes per week or 45L per week of water. For 2 weeks that would be 90L. So just under 24 gal for 2 weeks.
That would be 5 5 gal containers every 2 weeks.
Acording to Kentwood website... every 2 weeks I would get 5 5 gal containers and rental of the machine, and delivery fee, which would be $53.89 every 2 weeks.
So, what's the value here? It costs more than twice as much to get it delivered. Is it just cause of less waste? Not having to put bottles in the fridge?
I had thought Kentwood might be cheaper but that is clearly not the case.

Get creative with a bucket and some PVC pipe. Get some water filter logo stickers from amazon. Set it on the side of the house and tell them you got a water filter.

Are you in Baton Rouge? Our water is superb thanks to our aquifers.
At least until the saltwater intrudes….

If you're in NOLA, I fully get it. I couldn't do their tap water either until we got a Brita filter dispenser

Buy a few 5 gallon jugs, go to whole foods and refill after using, go to self check out and select 1 gallon option, pay $0.89.

If you drink a lot go water an under the sink filtration system is the way to go. You can install it yourself

I went through this entire scenario a couple years ago. I was surprised that there is no savings at all for the kentwood delivery so we still buy water bottles. Gotta carbon footprint bigger than Dallas.

I bought a water cooler from Sam's last year. Our local grocery store has culligan water exchanges. I bring my bottles back and trade them in for full ones. It costs around 7 dollars a bottle to exchange them. We love having the water cooler. I have inline water filtration system in the sink, but the water is not cold enough. My wife said the water cooler is the best thing I've ever bought.

No one has filtered water through their fridge?

Filtered fridge water is lame.
Cool kids put a filter like the Waterdrop 15UA or an RO system into a water chiller +/- a hot water tank. Looks nice. The cold water can be set down to 42 degrees, the hot a bit north of 200.
I almost plumbed a countertop or standing water dispenser like the poster a few posts up, but this fit my space way better (drop in replacement for my soap dispenser which had already been drilled out)

I refuse to buy bottled water, except during soccer season. It ends up wasted half the time, and I put It in the dog bowls because I don’t know who drank what. The new fridge has a filter in it, so that will have to do for now. One day, I’d like to get a stand up water filter, but that day is not today.

Many years I've been filling 3 gallon bottles i bought at watermill express locations. To me its better ,no added minerals and other crap,$1 .3 gal on the counter top and 3 in the gal fridge
