You are spending this much time and energy over trying to reduce a $40/month bill????

Do what works for you and your family and don’t worry about trying to save 10 bucks

Acording to Kentwood website... every 2 weeks I would get 5 5 gal containers and rental of the machine, and delivery fee, which would be $53.89 every 2 weeks

You need to call a sales rep instead of relying on the website.

You may be able to save money by buying your on dispenser vs renting yours. Also, if you have the room, instead of 5 every 2 weeks, you could do 10 once a month.

Plus, you will likely use less water than you anticipate. The bottles are more convenient for everyone in your family than filling from a dispenser.

In summary: continue to buy water at Sam's

Our household is going through 2 45 packs of 1/2 liter bottle water a week. (No... getting the wife and kids to drink tap water is not an option).

I'm not trying to pour it on OP, but come on dude. Quit the bullshite, get a filter, and tell your wife and kids "no." I assure you they won't be able to tell a difference.

Right now, OP and his family are burning through at least 4,500 single use plastic water bottles per year. Get a grip, man!

Why then hell aren’t people drinking tap water?

I drink out the faucet all day long.

Fat people think tap water is "gross." Quite weird

Only demographic I've ever encountered with a hard-line stance on the issue

So, what's the value here?

Aren't the cases of 1/2 liter bottles purified water? Whereas, the 5gal bottles are spring water?

When you grow up and get married and have kids, you will realize that some battles are worth fighting and sone are not.

It’s not worth it, to me, to argue about how I think them not drinking tap water is stupid.

I’d rather just get them what they want in the most economical fashion.

Do you even talk to women bro?

They have no problem eating food boiled in water from the tap.

To drink? Might as well ask them to drink kerosene.

We have a fridge filter. They won’t use that either. If I got a sink filter it would be the same.

I agree it makes no sense.
