So are all the infected batches of Envie from last year totally out of their control too? His tone in that letter is very off-putting. To say you cant control the drastic swings in flavor profile from orange juice to dank is simply misleading and inaccurate.
Maybe they cant control it but to say its simply impossible is BS

So how's your brewery managing it?

I brew it the same way I did before
I get what he's saying regarding variation in hops due to environmental variables... The wind or an hour more sun doesn't make 1 citra hop taste like an orange and 1 citra hop 1 row over taste like cat piss

Thanks, but I'm gonna choose to believe the chemical engineer turned brewer who makes the best beer in the state over random internet bourbon guy. No offense.

So all that sounds totally feasible to you?
Chemical engineer brew master just can't get beer to taste the same because of the breeze and maybe a little more humidity than a month ago? Mmmkay
No offense taken...

I bet you're really fun to hang with.

Thanks for posting that, BMoney. First time I've seen. I personally love Andrew's attitude and approach. I've been disappointed with batches before, but I love his reasons. But I have a dream: GitM improvement experiments halt and the next Parish DIPA is born. I think this FND board would crash soon after.

Andrew, boudini here, the guy with the gangster wiener dog who has had the first pour of batch 4, 7 and 8.
So you're like the GOAT whisperer?

Who knew one little beer from Broussard, Louisiana could cause so much drama and fuss?

That's just the sign of a good beer.

This really should be stickied at the top of the page for all the new money, wannabe-cicerones who are incessantly bemoaning the batch to batch differences.
Amen...that is about 75% of the regular beer posters. Luls.
