That’s about all I got. Went in for lunch. Had the brisket melt, fries and some deviled eggs. It was great. The other stuff they were trotting out looked great too. Just really surprised a place like this exists in a place like this.

Also a big fan of Netterville landing as a place to hang out, dock your boat, and maybe catch a band on a nice day. Their burgers are solid, too.

Walking Pig is great. Can't wait for them to start serving dinner regularly. The little mexican joint Marias is right down from it and worth a stop too.

Thanks for the rec! We have a house on Lake St. John which is about 30 minutes from there. Never had a reason to go to St. Joseph so next rainy lake day I may make the drive.

Don't recall ever going through St. Joe, but I grew up riding around Waterproof and Sicily Island with my dad. I need to go exploring that area of the state. There and the DeRidder corner.

Was just up there recently. Absolutely nothing there. Lots of cotton fields. Wish I had known.

good gosh the quality of that website, i wouldn't associate that with tiny town lunch counter
