What food or grocery items should I consider in preparation of the pending bad weather?

Made the mistake of going to the store last night to go pick up some flour and yeast to bake bread tomorrow.

People with full shopping carts were looking at me like I was an idiot.

If you have gas you have a ton of good options; if you're electric buy some peanut butter and bread.

I get into huge chili moods when the weather is bad. You could whip that up in advance and freeze it, then thaw out what you want to eat as the days go if you are without power

Propane, onions and bell peppers. If my power goes out I’m gonna cook deer meat outside and get housed on booze

Yep. Hurricane prep is just an extended cheat day for me. I can live off the tuna and jarred green beans/tomatoes in my pantry for 2 weeks alone, but where's the fun in that?
