Coming in for MG and have Borgne, Emerils and Cochon Butcher on my list of places. Is Slice worth going to to grab a slice?

No. I think Slice fricking blows.

I liked it many many years ago but the last two times I went had miserable experiences.

There are much, much, much better pizza places in this city. Go to Pizza Delicious instead.

we live down the street and occasionally drop in for a bite/drink, but it's by no means a destination

Thanks for the input. Definitely appreciated.

Off topic and random question. Will Emerils do a couple of appetizers to go? I know they won't do like full blown take out orders, but if I walk in to the bar,l and get a drink would they do a couple apps to go?

It's a place that serves pizza, a very meh item.

If you like pizza, go.

If not, skip it.

It's an OK pizza place if you're in the mood for that and close by.

It's fine, but not memorable or worth a special visit. On the other hand, the aforementioned Pizza Delicious is dang delicious, plus it has non-pizza specials that are often great to stellar (think carbonara pasta, crab risotto, gnocchi, etc). So if you're traveling with a group and someone gets a pizza craving, PD is worth a visit. www.pizzadelicious.com

I dont see why Emeril's wouldnt sell you some food at the bar for you to take somewhere else to eat. Yes, they probably wouldnt let any old joe just call on the phone and place a to go order. But if you are at the bar and say, hey can I get this app, that app, and a dessert to go? I cant imagine them saying no.

If it's anything like their Magazine location was a couple months ago, this. I remember it being much better back in the day, but that was like 10 years ago. Didn't really care for anything we had this last go round. Too many better options these days.

I still hear it from a lot of people, not necessarily on this board though. It just always seems to come up in conversations of pizza places locally.

Hell I prefer greasy old new yore pizza before slice

Pizza is okay. Last time I went I got the ravioli and enjoyed it. I mean it isn't anything to write home about but I don't find its over rated due to it not being rated that high. My new spot close by is Blaze.

From my experiences the weakest items on the Slice menu are the pizzas

I prefer Ancora

I thought it was pretty damn good. There's nothing comparable to it available in Baton Rouge so I figured it was a nice treat.

The menu is pretty expansive and most of the pizza options are relatively traditional.
