Toof, I like you, but are you seriously buying someone's blend of Salt, Black pepper and garlic powder? Do you not keep these three staple ingredients in your house?

Always salt and pepper. Twice as much pepper as salt!

I'm generous with the butter for the cook, salt, pepper and crystal garlic hot sauce. I'll add chives if I have some around.

The wife says black pepper doesn’t belong anywhere near eggs and salt only is the way most people do it.
I always throw black pepper when I make them for me, but the wife and kids don't like any spice which means it's salt only for them. I must admit that I find that tastes a bit better. I still throw the pepper in mine out of habit, but really, which I hate to admit, I think it's better without.

there is more than that in there and I use it on brisket, chuck roast, etc
Only pepper in the house is whole, I crack when cooking.
I like both these companies
that's nice.

your wife is wrong, tell her that and then let us know the result

I do 5 eggs, saute finely chopped roasted green chile, cheddar, grass fed butter, fine grain sea salt and stir over very low heat. I eat 3 eggs equivalent, the dogs get 2, I only eat eggs ~ 3x a month.

S&P with a few splashes of hot sauce and maybe some shredded cheddar.
Just can't do eggs with garlic or onion.

I don't use a ton of black pepper in my cooking (I find it to be inferior to other peppers),
You like what you like and I love freshly ground/cracked black pepper in many dishes-scrambled eggs included. I use black pepper, Tony's low salt, and hot sauce in mine.
Freshly ground black pepper on steaks and other cuts of beef is a must for me.

I use salt and pepper on fried eggs, but no pepper on scrambled eggs, and I have no idea why. I guess it just didn't "look" right. Since I put pepper on other things, I don't see any reason it wouldn't be just fine on scrambled eggs. I have a friend who eats his scrambled eggs with ketchup, but I've never gone there.

I cook the eggs a little first, then add the S&P before they are finished. I think it is an Alton Brown thing with the timing and how salt can change how the eggs cook or something.
