This is ideal for me. I need to get a tray to make ice balls at home. I just use a cube of ice or 2 depending on the pour.

Neat. Sometimes I’ll add an ice cube.

If you like those, you’ll love Hirsh Whiskey

My brother, who's a whiskey snob, loves Hirsch.
I don't think I've ever had it and I'm dry right now so I'll go pick a bottle up. Do you know a place in St. Tammany or maybe New Orleans, that has it?
Thanks for the suggestion.

Been drinking neat for a while, but I was gifted some of those ice sphere molds for Christmas and I've experimented with them lately. They weren't the "expensive" ones, and they don't make the clear spheres I've seen on the interwebz, plus they melt quicker than I'd expect. I may toss them and just stick with what I know.
I think I read maybe you're supposed to use distilled water or something? I could google, I guess.

Eagle Rare is hit or miss with me. But I'm really digging Weller right now.

There are two Eagle Rares that show up in the stores. The clear bottle, which is the one I listed and the black label. I've only had the clear.

Ginger Ale and a few dashes of pechauds when I want a mixer for a refreshing drink
Neat or Rocks, depending on the bourbon
I'll do old fashioned and sazarac as well, and I'll even play around with different cocktails for different flavors. There are some great ones out there

neat. Sometime with whiskey stones. Whiskey use to be my choice drink in my younger days to get drunk. Now a days i just prefer to sip and savor better whiskeys.

Will you have whiskey with your water
Or sugar with your tea
What are these crazy questions
That they're asking of me

The older I get the more I enjoy the taste of whiskey, straight up.

If it's a 80-100 proof bourbon = 1 regular ice cube
If it's cask strength bourbon (over 100 proof) = 1 Ice ball
Old Forrestor 1920 on an ice ball is fantastic.
