Went Thursday. Great dishes...everything was excellent. We focused on the fish entrees, which were fantastic, but so were the apps, desserts, and wine list.

It might be the best restaurant in the city - all things considered for a dining experience.

And the service was what you expect from top restaurants in NOLA. Great staff.

I might be in the minority by not really enjoying their biscuits. Some people go nuts over them but I just don't see the allure.

...but you don't go to Fins for the biscuits because everything else is spot on. Chef Tenney has recently retired but the food continues to be top notch.

They're essentially a higher end Red Lobster

Makes sense

I got the parm crusted sheepshead. Was fantastic. Our group got the scalibut and bluefin tuna. Each dish was excellent.

I’m guessing you mean this as a put down of the place, but I always assumed those biscuits were sort of his tongue and cheek assertion of saying that’s exactly what he is wanting to be.

Went a few weekends ago for wife's birthday. The pork belly app was incredible. Melt in your mouth. Shrimp and grits, Scalibut, and redfish were all spot on too.

Probably my favorite restaurant in the city considering the quality, quantity, and pricing.

I call it the most consistent restaurant in NOLA. Maybe a better dish elsewhere, but never less than a great dish at GW Fins

I've never been here but have been wanting to go for a while. A few people told me it's top 3 or 5 for them in the city easily.
