There was a gas station in Ferriday on the right when you are west bound. We got an excellent bag of Ranch Doritos there one afternoon. That's all I got.

Oh and a diet Dr. Pepper and Diet Coke. All were excellent.

Had great meals at The Camp and Pearl St Pasta back in November in Natchez . Before the flu started going around. Fat Mama’s was disappointing.

Just passing through? If you have time in Ferriday, check out the Louisiana music HOF.

Just do yourself a favor and run right thru Ferriday if you can get out of there without a speeding ticket for going the actual speed limit.

Probably the shittiest place on God's green planet.

If you must eat in Ferriday, then it's Duck's Nest on Lake St. John.

Eta: I haven't been there in over 10 years so I make no promises..

Moo’s barn and grille is very good. We went Monday and enjoyed it as always. It’s on 84 just east of the bridge.Fat Mamas is good for what it is. We find that Pearl St pasta is overrated.
Roux 61 is always good but a bit south of town.

For that criteria I’d go to The Camp, Cotton Alley or Roux 61 in Natchez.

Vidalia is you got Johnny Mays which is pretty good. It’s in the old Sandbar building. There’s one in the other side of the called Claws and Craws or something like that that is supposed to be pretty good. I haven’t been.

Ferriday there Big John’s bbq. It’s good. The Burgers are fantastic. I’m not sure you can get a beer there though

Magnolia Grill on Silver Street in Natchez is excellent. Walk to Under the Hill Saloon after and listen to good music. Biscuits and Blues downtown Natchez is good also. Roux 61 south of Natchez is pretty good.

Donut Shop in Natchez has good pastries and tamales. The constant line to the window tells you it’s good.

Get some fried pickles at The Camp. They have jalapeños mixed in and come with a great ranch type sauce. I mentioned to someone who ate with us that I kept thinking about those pickles months after we were there, and she said she had too. Decent beer selection there too.
