My wife and I are in our mid 30s. We were originally planning to take our two young kids to the beach but now we may flip the script and take a trip sans kids. Would prefer not to break the bank with the trip. I’m open to flying(currently live in SE Louisiana) if the prices aren’t ridiculous. We ...

Escrow or No Escrow

Posted by tigerfootball123 on 3/18/23 at 8:43 am
Just sold my first house and in the process of buying my second house. I’m a little naive to the whole process. I did not escrow with my first house. Bank is not requiring escrow with second house I am about to buy but I can if I want. Are there any financial benefits to escrow vs no escrow? ...
I appreciate everyone’s responses. Lots of good info in this thread. I’ve read a lot online recently and the recommendation is do not exceed your monthly mortgage payment of greater than 25-28% of take home pay. What all would you subtract from monthly salary to consider it “take home” pay? ...
