The corporate chef for Outback in the 90s and into the 2000s lived on the northshore. He even had his own kitchen there.

re: How upsetting is it to get Swai instead of catfish?

MD all of your points are valid. Catfish is currently more than double and nearing triple the price of swai for restaurants. To your point, one of the reasons driving price is that we have lost so many US farmers. Anyone can take a trip through parts of NELA and the MS Delta and you'll see miles of abandoned catfish ponds.

To be clear, I sold food to restaurants. I wasn't a restaurant owner. I sold these items among 1000s of others.

I've sold both for years. Believe or it not, in blind taste tests people actually prefer the swai or pangasius without even knowing it. One reason is that contrary to popular believe, swai generally has firmer meat and is much more straight when cooked. Visually its a much better presentation than catfish. Catfish is rarely straight or flat when cooked.
Like anything else there are quality differences in different brands of catfish. A lot depends on how they are raised/fed, processed, and stored after packing.

Its a great venue for groups or families. We have taken the kids on Saturdays when not much is going on. They always have concerts, food, events, etc. I frequent several places in the east for work and I can assure you there's a much different vibe in the area of the brewery compared to other areas.

Seriously? This is what some of you are claiming is the best seasoning, ever?
The very first, which means majority of what's in the container, is SALT. ?
Looks like it was originally Tony's and Crab boil (probably chackbay)

Your best bet is to grab a burger at the restaurant they have upstairs and head to the camp. Maybe grab a daiquiri in the drive thru down the road.

Dude are we reading the same comments here? I don't need to do any research. There's 130 FBS programs. You tell me give or take where your beloved bulldogs would rank in that list in regards to facilities.

Its absolutely an outrageous statement. The OP was that ULM is not in upper tier of FBS. If you think Tech is anywhere other the lower tier of FBS in terms of facilities you need your head examined. You tech guys really have the little man syndrome.

That's an outrageous statement from a tech fan who sits right beside ulm in that lower tier of facilities.
