RIP Johnny’s buffet

Gattis is okay. A solid salad bar and some pizza for 10 bucks, can’t complain.

It’s like a CiCi’s pizza but slightly better, imo.

They remodeled and it is not grungy anymore, which is always a plus. I like Gattis pizza—as others said, grew up on it—and it is my son’s favorite, so it works for us.

There is indeed a Johnnys in Central, still.

Same here. Eating Gatti's brings me back to childhood instantly. Their sauce is unique, so you know you are eating a Gatti's pizza with that first bite.

RIP Gatti's on Chimes. I used to hit that place up for lunch weekly with a friend while using a buy one get one buffet free coupon in the Tiger Weekly.

It is never going to be the best pizza you've ever had. That said, there is a nostalgia for me in eating it because it tastes the same as it did 35 years ago (and beyond). It's clean inside with the new renovations and my daughter likes going to the arcade.

In short, if you didn't like Mr. Gatti's before it is not going to change your opinion. But if you did, then it is basically the same food in an updated/nicer space.

I get to go pretty often and it can be hit or miss but last couple of months it's been really good. The buffet was usually good.

I’ve never had it miss, the it’s always been the exact same since I can remember. Fond memories of playing the sit down pac man table on Florida near Little John. They used to deliver too. More memories of walking to the north gates inbetween classes at LSU.

You can get take n bake pizza now too and it’s pretty good.

It's OK. The cinnamon pizza is the best thing they have. I don't do buffets any longer since I can't eat large portions.

The cinnamon pizza

Used to make me stabby when a jackhole used the cinnamon pizza spatula on the regular pizza slices making them sweet without knowing.

Ate at the buffet a million times while in school. Yes, I was pudgy.

Not even close. It was on Florida near Cora. Building is still there and is Visionworks. Pasquales was at Florida and Little John.

You mean 5 bucks on Wednesday and you get a punch card so the 10th is free? Oh damn, that was 25 years ago. Good times, better metabolism.

Florida at Cora was Gattis.
Godfathers was Florida near Mcgehee
Pasquales was Florida at Little John.
Pizza Hut was somewhere in there too.
