I love that area around the restaurant. Grapevine is the Christmas capital of TX and it’s all decorated and has a great downtown. Tons of good restaurants and wineries.

Bobs is next door. Hard to beat

My husband ordered well done steak, received medium.
waitress was probably confused as to what kind of psychopath would order a $50 steak well done.

I would’ve brought out medium rare just to try to fix this idiots taste buds

I went to HS with a guy whose name was Ferrari. He had no known connection with the auto Ferrari's except a last name.

If they are in DFW, and didn't take you to wait in line at Goldee's...why are you friends with them?

Dude. This is the best Italian food to be had in the Dallas, TX area. Deal with it.

Even if you didn't want to wait in line at Goldee's, Lockhart Smokehouse, Pecan Lodge, and Heim Barbecue offer some excellent options as well.

Lockhart makes the best smoked bird I've ever had.

Come to Dallas proper. Nick & Sam’s, Al Biernet’s, Bob’s, the list goes on & on. Stay out of the burbs.

This is nothing but a weird flex to say you ate at a very popular local restaurant that has great reviews just to tell everybody how it was dog food and way below you.

Is he that kind of guy or maybe the food did suck. I've been to places where they had a bad night. There's a seafood place here that I've heard many say good things about.. My family went there and it was horrible. Some of the food actually tasted very off. The shrimp almost had a spoiled taste to it.

So yeah, even decent places may have a bad night.

I know ya'll like to make a lot of drama out of everything.. so do your thing.

Next time they visit you, take them to a real restaurant and let the food speak for itself.

We have friends that we visit every year in a different state. They like to take us to their favorite restaurant. My husband and I do not particularly care for it and would not eat there any other time. But we do like our friends and love to spend time catching up and the food is edible so we go every year. Maybe you should be a better friend. It is not even worth telling them or discussing it for 1 night a year.
