But as a practical matter, my true friends and us would discuss what we liked or didn’t like. I hate a couple of places that my friends love and vice versa. But our restaurant preference is not directly proportional to our level of friendship. Now if it’s just a casual acquaintance/ co-worker / neighbor situation, just politely decline any subsequent invitation or say “oh darn we’d love too but we’ve already made reservations at Applebee’s (or whatever) would yall like to join us there?” They’ll say no and yall don’t have to deal with that shite again.

But just don’t wear your Ford T-Shirt next time.

Eh, seems a bit put on but that may be the name of the people who own or at least opened the place.

Totally random (well, near-random because the name is similar) memory. My ex and I were in Washington, PA, a suburb of Pittsburg, in 1983 visiting some friends. We ate at a place called Feriari's between Washington and Pittsburg that had an Italian flag as the sign and said "Home of the original calzone". At the time I had never heard of a calzone before. I was floored by how good that was. I have not had a better calzone since, though I have had some very good ones.
