Buying some fresh shrimp on the Westbank. Always make a shrimp cocktail, but also want some inspiration for new stuff to try too.

What's the forum's preferred way to do a shrimp cocktail, and what are some good alternatives for a surplus of shrimp?

I made an omelet with some leftover boiled shrimp a while back.

Added avocado, onion, tomatoes, and a little old bay. It was excellent.

Shrimp fettuccini is a good option.

Shrimp boiled in seafood seasoning, along with the sides makes for a good omelet for breakfast.

Cut some up if they are big enough and toss them in a mixed salad for some protein.

Use Galatoire’s recipe for shrimp ravigote which they call shrimp maison and/or their shrimp remaulade, both of which can be found on line.

It's hot as hades outside. A good cool shrimp salad sounds nice. Make a batch and serve over lettuce. Shredded or leaf is a debate but I prefer shredded.

De head them and freeze them. I buy at least 200lbs of shrimp a year.
Shrimp stew
Routeed shrimp
Boiled shrimp
Shrimp fajitas
Fried shrimp
Shrimp spaghetti

Wild caught Louisiana Shrimp is the cleanest, most organic protein you can buy right now. And if you but them off the boat the cheapest too.

BJ seafood in Hammond has fresh 16/20s on sale for 2.99/lb when buying 50+ pounds starting tomorrow

No need to drive down to the coast and cheaper than hamburger meat right now
