Maybe I am a bad match for this place.
And I expect tots in the sandwich would be damn good. Sort of a Meridian verion of the Pittsburg place that slaps fries on a hogie and thinks it has a masterpiece.

Actually I almost never fry potatoes at home.
I limit myself to the few times I buy them when we go out.
Never fry fish at home.
Never fry chicken unless I am using it in a dish and then only very lightly breaded and fried in minimal oil.
I also limit myself to a small order of tots at Sonic. Hurts, knowing they have medium and large order options.

I always did take you for a open face sandwich kind of guy. I figured you would have some diced onion and grated cheese sprinkeled over the top of the sandwich though.

Don't listen to the same old crappy group of haters.
The tongue in cheek post should have been clear to anyone just as your past vienna sausage post.
Haters can hate but I bet this post made someone cook up some Joes.
I was never a fan of the Joe. Hated them at school and hated them at camp. I seem to have a blacked out memory of Joes at a friend's house.

Sloppy Joe with a tater tot base on the bottom bun and a layer of vienna sausages (sliced into 1/4 inch rounds) on top of the ground beef. Buttress it all with a Velveeta slice below the tots for extra taste and support.
That sounds awful. I'd try at least one bite.

Is pinochle < pinnacle???
Screw the Vienna sausage, those things need a fried egg on top...or not.

Don't stop on a 9. A 10 is in reach. I can see it now...a Sloppy Joe with a tater tot base on the bottom bun and a layer of vienna sausages (sliced into 1/4 inch rounds) on top of the ground beef. Buttress it all with a Velveeta slice below the tots for extra taste and support.

"The Absolute Pinochle of my career" was a phrase Norm Crosby (an old Borscht Belt comedian used back in the Late 1960s and early 1970s). I think it zinged right over most people's heads here. Makes it and me pretty obscure and out of date with today's TD reader.
Sorry guys. It was always funny when Norm said it.

Absolutely killed it with this troll. Excellent!
I'm not saying you're in a class by yourself, but whatever class you're in, is sure doesn't take long to call roll.

You're worse than skillet

I just don't see this as a troll.
MD has never tried to hide that he is a simple guy who likes cooking down home meals and showing them off as tutorials.
For every hot dog or sloppy joe thread, he posts 12-15 threads of great looking recipes. You take the good with the bad.
I'll take a sloppy joe thread every now and then if the trade off is another great food pictorial

Then you clearly don't know the definition of a troll.

Definitely a high brow troll. Pinochle was the hook. The dood has sum serius skillz.
I fully expect a tutorial on Mrs. Gorton's fish sticks as his next masterpiece.

Then you didn't see the four close-up shots of sloppy joes.

I know you are clowning a little bit with the F&D board but I had a great take on the Sloppy Joe at American Sector, WWII Museum, New Orleans. The Besh recipe uses short rib and it was definitely not Manwich.
