the next day I had an appendicitis attack and I havent had one since

While my grandmother has been dead fot thirty odd years now the two of us conspired to ruin the best laid plans of family vacations. The first was me severely breaking my right leg with some leeriness as to if the bones would mend properly. The next year was her landing in the hospital. Forward one or two years and I was scheduled to fly with her to California to join mom and two sisters and one aunt there. They left on the drive there on Saturday and I woke up the next day to unsufferable abdominal pain finally insisting my older sister to take me to the ER. Appendix removed that night, but the funny part was my mother wouldn't believe that I was in the hospital until her secretary asked for her insurance informtion. Until that was done she thought that we were just trying to pull a prank.
