Looking at this as opposed to one of those griddle cooktops. The appeal to me is the portability.

buddy of mine has some and is all into it. they sponsored an event that i put on and we gave a few away, and i can't lie, i really kinda wanted one. tons of versatility and very portable, but I'm also a cheap arse, so therefore i do not own one. i think they would be handy as hell

I don't personally have one but a friend does. He raves about it all the time.

Supposedly, it seasons like cast iron. Once you are done cooking with it, you simply put a little water in it with the heat on and wipe it down. This is one of the reasons I posted it here to get some real world feedback on it.

Looks like a burner with a built in wok.

Is the skillet part made out of Steel?

Are those just Mexican discadas? They sell those at ethnically diverse Walmarts and Academys for cheap cheap cheap.

That made me LOL.
The idea of cooking when you can't wash your hands or utensils, etc on a boat is gross. Now, if your boat is big enough to have a freshwater sink, go for it.

I try to make boat food as easily eaten as possible. Who wants to interrupt the fishing to make freakin' stir fry?

Jeez...... the boat pic was to emphasize portability. The thing breaks down into three pieces making it highly portable and you can set it up anywhere.

Okay, I get it now. But you can get virtually the same thing for 1/3 of the price. Not sure that folding legs are worth that much, to me. Propane tank is always going to take up some space to transport.

since I first saw an add for one a few years ago I've been intrigued, but I don't know a single person that has either owned or used one or even seen someone use one (That might be more of an indictment about my social life, but oh well.) So, I have no idea if it is as useful as they make it seem in the add.

I'd rather have an electric skillet.

I love how OP asks if anyone has one and everyone that DOESN’T have one comes and shits on it. Never change FDB.

huge pain the the arse to clean and keep seasoned.

Have two friends w em. They are the greatest thing for camp breakfast ever created. They basically have heat zones for eggs bacon sausage and even keep tortillas warm for breakfast wraps.

Also really nice to sear a steak.

You can use em to fry as well. It really is portable not a pain at all

I would never buy one because of the cleaning part and in my opinion they are way overpriced
