I almost bought one of those just now, what's your verdict?

Not too shabby. Really light and fluffy like. There's no real wow factor at all in this beer. Pretty much exactly what you'd expect from a light wheat beer. Much better available, much worse available.

Right, about what I expected. At some point I feel like I have to move on from the constant exploration phase, I didn't get it because I just figured it would be exactly what you just described, but that would've been a good beer poolside. That time is not more though.

I'd actually really like to see more lighter beers from the locals rather than have them just try and copycat big west coast ipas all the time, just to kind of match the weather. Everyone does those (and I love them), I would just like to see the La market try and establish an identity, like the food has. I also realize it's a business and people generally seek out big beers these days, so it's probably a pipe dream. I might go do some research on what the traditional beers of the various parts of continental Europe are as relates to my personal ancestry though, just out of curiosity.

Bayou Teche generally tries to do exactly what you are talking about and people generally don't care for their efforts. Not sure if its because of the style they go for or poor execution, though
You just can't get a big demand and rating if its not a big IPA or barrel aged imperial stout

Bought some tin roof amber to drink with my dad. Any good?

screw the barrell aged crap. I know I'll get crucified on here but I'm just not into them for the most part especially the bourbon tasting stuff.

There ya go, a bit of meritage with both Dublin and Kalamazoo represented.
