What's everyone's favorite brand and what brand don't pit tail like crazy when cooking?
Have a great Sunday every one.

The Rouses Pecan Smoked is really really good. I usually flip flop between that one and Wright Brand.

I've been making my own for a few years now but the best I've had is Nueskes. Damn good bacon!

I drove an hour out the way for that incredibly salty-arse bacon from Benton.

I'd prefer great value brand over it again.

If you can find it, the WalMart Neighborhood Market on Highland Rd (never seen it at the big store) sometimes has their house brand of jalapeño bacon. That stuff is incredible. And I am a huge fan of the pig.

Turn your heat down.

Or cook in the oven. Takes longer but if it’s on a rack it keeps its shape and renders nice clean bacon grease.

Put your bacon in the pan and then turn the heat on.
Renders it out a lot more efficiently.

This if I buy it, but I've been making my own for several months now and can't think of any reason to buy some unless I'm out of mine.
