EDITED: Can't say I'm a big fan of Dale's marinade...

Did something really stupid. Apparently you can't put this shite on pork chops. There's no way I'd ever put that on a burger or ESPECIALLY a fricking steak. Lesson learned. Thanks for all the advice. Especially you Catman.

you've got to use dales right...
FWIW I never put it on Pork Chops. Typically only use as a quick marinade for my chicken and top that with some ms. dash.
If I put any in my steak marinade its a tsp into the entire thing...
I've toyed around with it for 5+ years now so I've gotten used to how to use it and what it does best in...

I use the low sodium version...

Dale's is good as an addition to a liquid marinade (not stand alone)...almost like a brine.

Dales=Gag
Meat just doesn't need that much seasoning if you are buying quality cuts of meat, and if you aren't, then you are probably slow roasting or braising anyway. Skip the Dales next time, less is more.

I put the dales on, carry the meat to the grill and put the meat on the fire...we are talking maybe a couple of min. time...very salty stuff but it will produce a nice crust...sorry your chops turned out bad (never tried it on anything but steak) if you ever try again...don't let the meat set in it long.

dont put any wet marinades on a piece of red meat....unless your buying cheap meat a grocery store
dales is best for wild game, duck breasts, etc......not pale meats such as pork

tried it once... now don't use it.
Still have half a bottle in the fridge
I would only marinate a very cheap cut of steak.
And then it would be Allegro or brush on Kitchen Bouquet

So genius how long did you marinade the meat? 30 min?
Literally anyone that thinks it is too salty never read the bottle. I have never had a salty cut of meat using the stuff if you follow the directions. If you marinate over 10-15 min just throw the meat away.
Dont know anyone that would recommend it on pork chops though...
I have used it on chicken and steak with great results. I dont marinate pork chops at all except for a seasoning rub..

Well genius, I put the chops in a bag with some Dale's, turned to coat and walked out to my grill and put them on because I was very timid with it being the first time and the stories I've read on here about it being a quick marinade. It doesn't matter how long or whatever because being too salty wasn't my problem. It tastes just like it smells and that is awful.

Never said that. I just said I would never take anyone's advice other than those two.

You never said what you didnt like. I would never put it on a pork chop. Most people I know that cook with it corretly love it. Biggest complaint is the salt content which is why they have a low sodium one but a ton of people marinate with it for long periods of time. But then again I dont know any of them that have used it on pork.. Its soy sauce with ginger.... I guess you dont like soy sauce?? Its not exactly some strange ingredient.
