This is my favorite shite about your comment..
But he is one of the people on here that USE DALES and post on here about using it.
Not everyone will like the same thing.. Many people have tried Dales and love it. Many people dont.
One thing is for certain NEVER try something new on a large amount of meat if you dont know if you will like it or not. You can blame yourself for that one not anyone here.

You never said what you didnt like. I would never put it on a pork chop. Most people I know that cook with it corretly love it. Biggest complaint is the salt content which is why they have a low sodium one but a ton of people marinate with it for long periods of time. But then again I dont know any of them that have used it on pork.. Its soy sauce with ginger.... I guess you dont like soy sauce?? Its not exactly some strange ingredient.
Why the frick are you so defensive over this shite? Chill out homie. It was recommended more that a few times on this board so I thought I'd give it a shot and I absolutely hated it. That doesn't mean everyone in the world has to hate it it just means that I do. I can't believe it's actually sold as a steak marinade unless it's specifically aimed at people that buy those huge sirloin steaks from Winn Dixie. I couldn't imagine putting it on any cut of meat worth a shite. As far as hamburgers I'm never looking for a different taste other than meat. Occasionally I'll put some Italian sausage or Cajun sausage mixed in with the ground beef but that about as much experimenting as I'll do. You keep rocking your Dale's my man.

How can you say that when you put it on uhhh pork?? Apples and Oranges.. All marinades do not taste the same on different meats.. Im not being defensive about a marinade just odd that someone doesnt try something on a small piece of meat but instead puts it on everything without knowing if they like it then blame others for your stupid mistake. I think Dales is absolutely great on steak. I used to never use any marinade on any steak but dales gives it a good flavor. You wouldnt know that because you didnt put it on a steak.. I only found out about it because a place where I liked the steaks used it and then I found out what they were doing.
Basically you put a steak marinade on pork and say that its useless on a steak
I have definitly put it on filet before (a pretty much flavorless steak by itself) and it gives it just what it needs no more. In actuality if used right you should not even taste the dales just a hint of seasoned flavor. Im not sure what exactly you did, like I said I have never used it on pork, but its just stupid to put a product down for what it is intended for when you use it on something that it can be used on but not its main purpose.
My point being is dont blame others for a recommendation if you dont like it. We didnt ruine 8 pork chops because we recommended a product for something else. Its easier to put dales on 1 chop and see if you like it for next time. Try it on a cheap ribeye by our recommedations then there is more to talk about. Its possible you wont like it but at least it would be apples to apples.

Actually if you buy those huge sirloin steaks, kosher salt and black pepper, cook them medium rare and slice thin against the grain they make a fine mid week dinner. I do London Broils quite a bit the same way. Good stuff. Really tasty. You don't always have to eat tenderloin to enjoy beef.

Alright chief. You win. Apparently everyone has to like what you like. The fricking bottle markets it as being "delicious on all meats, fish, fowl and vegetables." Maybe they should include an "except pork" statement then I would have known better.
As for the amount of pork chops soap box you're on, they had to be cooked that day and Dale's was all I had so I just went with it. Is it a fricking sin in "Catman world" to not like this shite? Have you seen the numerous other posts in this thread agreeing with me?

I've never even bought a bottle. Looks like soy sauce to me.
That Lawry's Chile and Lime marinade isn't half bad on chicken.

I'm with you man. I use those big sirloins for things like fajitas, tacos and steak wraps. I wasn't knocking the cut of meat just the people that consider that good steak and then proceed to slather the ketchup all over it. Anything more than med. rare and you might as well pitch it to the dogs.

Did you come here looking for acceptance??
Did I say you had to like Dales? Thats personal preference.
I DID say that you cant blame people for ruining your pork chops. That was your decision to put something you never tried on it essentially experimenting with a whole batch. You came on here on the soap box calling everyone out for recommending Dales (which was recommended ON STEAKS) Wouldnt a post that you dont like Dales have sufficed instead of blaming people for your stupid mistake? In all the threads about Dales I have ever seen on this board pretty much the same people in this thread claimed they didnt care for Dales. Is there a suprise that they would say so again?
Try Dales on a steak then you have what we recommended.. Dales could put on the bottle to try on a rubber tire that doesnt mean anyone here recommended you go buy 4 sets of goodyears and ruin them. Blame Dales for saying you can put it on any meat not the people here saying its good on STEAK.

Jesus dude. Call the fricking dogs off already. I don't like it. I don't care if it was on Megan Fox's tits (well maybe

Only reason I keep saying anything is because you STILL dont get it.. I dont give a shite if you like dales or not.. I do give a shite that you blamed people here for recommending it on something you didnt try and said everyone here's advice is worthless because of it except for two people (one of those being one of the people recommending it on something you didnt try)
If you spend time on this board there are many people here that make great recommendations there is a lot of knowledge on this board. You dont discount everyone here because you dont like something.

I can't stand it...I'm not a huge Soy Sauce fan and that's pretty much all it is I believe.
Posted on 7/18/08 at 2:10 pm to Gage
Yep its basically Soy, ginger and typical spices.. I think the only difference b/t dales and Moores is that it has ginger in it. If you dont like Soy Sauce then you wont like it. Used right you wont realy taste the soy sauce but in a burger or something that it is mixed in you defintily would taste it.

no doubt...went to Destin last year and a friend brought some burgers that he had prepped before we left. The second I bit into it...I knew exactly what he had put in it...Dales.
For what it's worth, everyone else thought it was the best thing they ever put in their mouths...

Ohhhh, I see now. I didn't include you on my "advice from" list. My bad dog. I actually DO value your opinion as you've been pretty good in the past, well, minus the Dale's thing.

I have a question, If you didn't like the smell of Dales, why did you use it? If I don't like the aroma of something, I sure would't put it something that I was planning on eating. I don't see why you are quick to blame people who recommended it. Not everone has the same taste buds. I saw people here heaping praise on Dales. I decided to try it. I didn't like it. I didn't return and blame the people who like for my disliking it. What may taste good for some may taste like crap to others.

When did this place turn into the political board?

I'm with ya dog. I apologize if anyone felt that I was blaming them but I think Catman was more upset that I didn't include him in the "who I'm taking advice from" list.
