I am thinking about heading to Commanders for lunch. Is there a lunchtime dress code or am I ok in shorts?

Jackets might be optional but I bet pants aren't.

Ehhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

I've seen people be turned away for shorts. Lunch time is a bit looser but I don't think its that loose.

Commander's has slacked on dress code over the years but I'm not sure they have gone that far.

Went last Thursday for lunch. Did not see anyone in shorts, but several people in jeans.

Go somewhere else if you’re wearing shorts.

This. Head to popeye's for the chicken sandwich and .25 martini's and be out of there for under $5

shorts

No. My husband and I are regulars, and his daughter met us there for lunch one day in shorts and a long sweater (not trashy-looking, but she should have known better), and she was turned away. The dress code is on their website and shorts are a no-no regardless of time of day.

Shouldn't even be a consideration.

That would be all he could do is try. They won’t let him in. I’ve never been without a jacket and would feel uncomfortable without it even at lunch.
