Why rinse the spatula when you can just rinse the meat. Insert Eddie Murphy gif here.

People freak the frick out way too much about raw meat. If you buy your shite from a reputable grocery store and you own a fridge AND you know how to cook food, you'll be fine.

I usually just change pots halfway through cooking, because the first pot touched the uncooked meat.

How many times have you gotten sick not changing spatulas?

No, not necessary. I wear latex gloves for mixing in seasoning, forming the flattest, thinnest patties I can. Then I place them on the grill with my still gloved hand, peal the gloves off, grab spatula, when seared on the bottom flip them once, sauce, cheese, close the lid. In a minute or so , I have a double patty of 100% Maillard goodness.

When browning some hamburger do you rinse after the initial turns, or do you just let it ride throughout?

This might be the dumbest shite I've ever heard.

I do smash burger style on blackstone and only use a clean spatula for one flip then take them off with same spatula. No cleaning but the burgers are just about cooked on the first and only flip.
