Do you eat your turkey and/or dressing with a bite of cranberries?

My sister married a career Navy guy. Their first Thanksgiving together she made a fancy homemade cranberry sauce. He wouldn't eat it and she had to get the kind out of a can like they served in the chow hall.

As long as it’s very tart I can use either one to help give me the flavor profile I’m looking for with my turkey and dressing.
