I’m not trying to be funny, I honestly don’t know.

Just had my first of the season in SC, and while they were smaller than the Georgia peanuts that I normally like the flavor and texture were great.

How can anyone not like them?? I could eat this entire bag.

I've been a fan for years and boil my own several times a year and have lived in N.O. for all but 3 of my 73 years on this orb.

I do mine in seafood boil seasoning and a few other ingredients to kick them up a notch or three.

I’ve always wanted to try them but never have had the opportunity.

Country Corner does them when in season and it’s up there with the best I’ve had.

I eat them boiled in salted water and/or crab boil. Hell, I eat the canned ones off the shelf at the gas station too.

You probably have an Ingle's nearby. You can buy a 5 lbs bag of raw Valencia nuts for $11 and make your own. Takes only 2 hours with a pressure cooker/Instapot.

They seem to be popular east of the Mississippi River. I never saw them growing up in NW LA, but they are all over in MS and AL. I know someone who grew up in BR, and their family ate boiled peanuts, while the rest of us to the west roasted them.

Boiled peanuts are more prevalent as you go east from the Mississippi up through Georgia.

No, not a redneck. Take raw redbeans, soak in brine overnight, eat. At least you don't have to peel them.

I got to a backyard party one May, saw big pot boiling, mouth was watering until picked up the lid and saw peanuts, WTF is this shite, these aren't crawfish.

I'll save my share for the heathens who don't know better.

My dad was legendary for his boiled peanuts. He worked at Exxon & would drive to MS and bring back a truck bed/trailer full of sacks of raw peanuts to his work buddies. Would boil for a week & make my whole house smell like peanuts. Man I miss that…thanks for the great memory!

I try to always get some when I go to Mississippi. I don’t find them in the Shreveport area.

Proper boiled peanuts are appreciated by higher IQ people. It’s been proven time and time again through peer reviewed studies.

I prefer the Spanish peanut traditionally boiled.

Boiled peanuts are one of the many things I miss about living in Louisiana. I had my first at Angola. So good
