Exactly. Especially to a company like Starbucks that has such shallow pockets.....

That's cool.

The name of the place is District Donuts.Sliders.Brew.

They really started off as the place that did crazy donuts, and evolved into something else entirely. They aren't a donut shop.

Walk in and you'll see 90% of the people there not eating donuts.

Mugshots and Sports, was it?

Chammps Americana. The whole chain went out of business. Of course, this was at the height of the recession.
And Walk-On's seems to be doing well in the Chammps/Mugshots spot. I've been there a couple of times and it was pretty busy. Of course, since Fox & The Hound closed, the only other sports bar in the Corporate area is Hooters. (I don't think Pelican House is a sports bar. Shoot, I think the first few times I was there, they didn't even have the TVs set to high def.)

I am still waiting for LNCHBOX to list all of the restaurants that have gone out of business there.

That's a new building. You are thinking of where Another Broken Egg is located, which is next store.

I'm failing to see the relevance of your question. Did I claim a whole slew of them did?

No, they were always doing other stuff. I watched them build out the place.

The single most overhyped place in Nola. They don't serve donuts fwiw. They serve little small cakes in the shape of donuts with ridiculous toppings.

District is the only place that I consistently see BR people post about when they visit New Orleans. Even people who don't know or care about food/restaurants.

Edit: I don't like donuts. This is just what I have seen from random friends on social media.

What? My observation that people from BR post about District on Instagram? Are you drunk?

What the hell? Five pages about this shite. I know half of it was LNCHBOX and MightyYat, but still.

that's why you're not in charge of business development. Do you think they are blindly opening up a store there without any market research

Well to be quite honest I should thank my lucky stars I'm not in charge of business development for a donut shop. Because if I was that would mean I would have had to work my way up to that position and "time to make the donuts" isn't really what I have rattling around in my head at 3am.

I will give them a shot to be fair.
