Yep, I don't chose to sing the praises of Distrct for the attention. That must be it.

As you are undoubtedly aware, there is a ton of thought and variables that determine the choice to expand, let alone which city, and even more when determining strategy within that city. That is a huge question that is a little too big to respond without the ability to verbally dialogue - specifically because it is not a bulletproof philosophy and certainly contains outliers and exceptions which require explanations. We are so serious when we say that if there is genuine interest, we will organize the time and place to tackle these questions. This, in fact, is the perfect launch question. Unless the group has a better way of determining genuine interest, I'd like to suggest that you simply click the ?? tab on this post if you want to do this. Obviously any number is worth the effort to make it happen, but we want to know if this works for a significant group. If we all see it as a realistic approach, we'll get the ball rolling now on solidifying the time and place.

You're going to need to let LNCHBOX wet his beak a bit to get his coveted endorsement.

I was being truthful in saying I am down. And I know a few friends who I feel would be your customer base. Upper-middle class folks who enjoy different and interesting foods while also supporting local business and local products.

Not characters on an anonymous website who have never owned a business in their life nor have the income or care to frequent these types of businesses.

You seem like you have something at stake regarding District's reputation.

Props on your assumptions.

ETA: And even more props for editing in an income insult. You absolutely got me. My dream in life is to one day be able to afford a donut.

And at the notion that I don't eat at or support local restaurants and businesses just because I don't care for one in particular.

I made a prediction on what I think will happen, and I backed them up with actual reasons. You may not agree with them, but it's not like I pulled them out of my arse. You talked out of your arse because it's fun to do that to me. I'll even give you your first upvote.

The same people that eat up theos, 5 guys, Zoe's, chipotle etc in there are the same people who will eat District Donuts imo.

I respectfully, but wholeheartedly, disagree. That is a 180 on clientele.

I live in River Ridge, 5 mins from Elmwood. And I will still go Uptown when I want District Donuts..... If I am going to pay $8 for a biscuit and coffee, it is a rare occurrence for me and my wife, and we like to at least be uptown while getting rammed in the arse for prices

DD on Mag is always killing it. Now it's tax season with the tax place right in between there and the shitty flag shop with the crazy owners, even more people will be on that block.

Idk, places like chipotle, city greens, theos, 5 guys, chick fila, canes stay packed with people overpaying for uninspiring food in that corridor. Lotta millenials and soccer moms w their kid types. You got the world makert, Best Buy, cell phone places, etc. There is so much traffic through there that fits DD's demographic
