I don't know man. If they did extensive research and came up with Towne Center I'm not too sure I'd trust whoever recommended that location with that rent.

Right, the only businesses that fail are the ones that did no market research.

That place will fail in that location. I don't need to do an an ounce of research to know it.

Nah. It won't.
District has too wild of a following. They'll be fine.

In NOLA they do, sure. But that's not going to translate to BR imo.

I've never been to the one in N.O., but I'm always looking forward to trying a new place when it opens in B.R. I'm also not influenced by others' opinions. There are plenty of places I like that others don't, and vice-versa.

It's almost as if there isn't a ton of people going to school in Baton Rouge from New Orleans.
It's also near the prime young couple neighborhood, which is their demo. They will do fine

That's like saying Bud's Broiler would be an automatic money maker in BR because of the NOLA people, even though everyone not from NOLA basically shits on it.
District's donuts are expensive, not all that great compared to things already well established in BR, and will be located in a high rent area. It's not a given that it will last.

Thanks for picking that part of my post to be a condescending twat about.

You are pretty ignorant
Because I don't think District will translate to BR and starting out in a high rent store is not good for them? Sure, super ignorant here.

No, but in an area full of bored stay at home housewives with kids and plenty of disposable income, it's not a given that they will fail.

You just keep moving off your original

i didn't move off the original. You're taking my post out of context.
Allow me to state it more clearly since apparently I have to: District will not last at that location.

I think they'll do fine. A lot of traffic goes to Towne Center, they're near some affluent neighborhoods and all of the restaurants in that shopping center largely do very well. And it seems like people were excited that they're coming to town, based on what I've seen on social media. And I think there's enough customers for District, Tiger Deaux-Nuts, Kolache Kitchen, etc. (I mean, I like District. But I live in Capital Heights. If I'm going to go on a doughnut run one weekend morning, I'll probably go to Tiger because it's closest.)
