Any place that makes deep dish in New Orleans/Metairie/Kenner? Not like fake deep dish, I'm trying to get as close as possible to the real thing from Chicago:

Only place I've heard of is That's Amore in Metairie.
I've never tried it, but I really need to as I think that pizza in your picture looks great.
I know the pizza purist will flip their shite when they open this thread, so be ready.

I say to each his own, but IMO, the best pizza is Neapolitan style thin, relatively crispy crust with crushed tomato sauce and good cheese used sparingly. I hate that doughy deep dish shite.

I'm expecting it. It's funny because they go through the effort to open the thread and respond.

I had Chicago deep-dish pizza in Chicago at a couple of places and That's Amore was just like it.

Has anyone tried Chicago Mikes Deep Dish in NOLA?

It is actually made and sold out of Buffa’s Bar and Restaurant.

I just looked it up and wondering if anyone tried his version of deep dish?

Mid Way is terrible. Just order Pizza Hut deep dish instead

Yes, it comes out Superior to any local attempts.
I place a 10" cast iron on top of my Pizza Stone - at 450 Degrees.
Cheese first, then Sauce.

That's Amore. I got it based off of this board, it's the ONLY place in the area that makes it like that.

People always say Midway. Midway makes a very
"bready" pizza. A true deep dish is more like a pie. Toppings go under sauce and are baked in. Midway just tops a thick crust pizza like the delivery places.

That's Amore is pretty dang good. My experience is they take longer than average to prepare the pie. Just a heads up if you're dining in with kids.

Well, deep-dish pizzas do take longer to cook. Allow about 45 minutes. We usually get muttz sticks to tide us over.
