dude said place is a year old, is it really a stretch for me to say I've never heard of it?

St pizza is good but I don’t see what sets it apart from pizza D or Zee’s other than the owner is a savvy marketer.

It was on some NY times list of the best pizza in America which I found perplexing.

Bunchie knows pie
Zees is really good pizza. Shitty ambience. Can only order by phone which is dumb

Saint is an 8.0 easily. Zees regular pizza is probably 7.8. Those square slices I had Monday from them are 8.0, though.

They are great marketers and did a great job on style.
But it’s a DAMN good pie. It’s just very good.
Pricey though.

Was Lucali one of them?
No and I hope to get there this summer. Zephyrs in West Hartford he gave an 8.3 and it was a 6.3 IMO. Regina's in Boston was another one he may have given a 9 to but was average. And then Sally's and Pepes in New Haven don't live up to the hype, and I know Portnoy isn't the only one singing their praises. . We have friends in Connecticut and they say nobody goes to Pepes or Sally's because of the crowds but also because there is better pizza in New Haven. She is going to takes us to her favorite spot this summer.

The dude tastes hundreds of pizzas a year, and in his worls 8s are very hard to come by. You have to really have something special to reach that level.
I had Zee's back when it first started getting a lot of hype. I thought it was good, but not as good as people were saying. Same with Pizza Delicious. I'll definitely give St.Pizza a try.

Right. Compared to Zee’s the experience of eating there is night & day. Even the walk up window provides a different experience .
It’s also More accessible, because you can order online.
Zee’s pizza is awesome but I don’t love it enough to:
A) sit down and eat inside of there
B) call in a phone order
C) go inside & order to-go & wait 35min
I understand their demand makes this irrelevant to their business model but if you are splitting hairs I don’t have much of a reason to patronize them vs St Pizza

I'm honestly a fan of their wine shop too. I don't go often because its not too convenient for me.
But they have a great selection of wines at GREAT prices. Very affordable selection of smaller producers

Its on par with several places.
Some places in NYC were certainly better.
I think pizza reputations are wildly disproportionate with reality

I'm admittedly pretty ignorant of anything Barstool related, but I can't understand how that dude became so popular. His personality is awful.

Honestly I can't stand him either. He sucks

I really enjoy St. Pizza. It helps that Patron Saint is next door, so I usually get a pie or a slice whenever I go pick up wine or get a glass there.
