I’m a rookie, but bourbons have good flavor going on. Canadian and Irish whiskies are just meh in comparison. No character.

My everyday whiskey is Woodford reserve. I went from
Maker Mark to Elijah Craig now Woodford.

As far as actual bourbon whiskey, you'd think every OT'er would have a bottle Pappy Van Winkle's 15 year family reserve on hand. Me personally I'm a fan of Blanton's when someone introduced me to it a year ago. Sadly, I don't drink anymore so I can save that $225 for another bottle and apply that to another vice to fill that void. Wish me luck.

The only crown I drink is the peach. It is fantastic.

Crown is too sweet for me. Makers is my daily bourbon.
Rocks, old fashions or sazerac’s for me. No way I could drink a bourbon and coke nowadays… fell out of love with those after college.

I started out on crown, a long time ago. I now like my whiskey to taste a lot more robust. If you want a blended whiskey (which typically taste a lot milder) crown would be my choice.

Another liquor rep told me the reason Crown became so popular in La and TX was from so many baws worked in Alaska on the pipelines in th 70’s, and it was a common whiskey up there. I dunno but it is really just a inexpensive blended whiskey.

Buy it at almost any restaurant for a fair price. The secondary market is too high, and there’s comparable stuff even at the standard price.
I have never had a bad bourbon with a Jefferson label on it.
