I cook mine in the oven in a foil lined pan. Let the grease cool, take what you want to save, throw the foil away

No doubt. Only way I make it now. I put it on a wire rack above a baking sheet. Foil on the bottom for easy cleanup. 375 for 20 min, but throw it in while it’s pre heating. Flip and go for another 10 or so min. Thick Wright brand bacon is the only bacon tho.

I cook bacon 5 times a week. Thiccc bacon (ie Boar's Head Butcher Cut 20oz packs).
Bacon in the oven at 400-425° takes 20-25 min to cook.
Bacon in a skillet takes 10 - 15 min to cook (w/ a bacon press to evenly cook).
Oven might seem like less of a mess, but at least in the skillet you can use a splatter screen to keep oil from getting everywhere.
And all the bacon remnants make your eggs taste great.
Skillet is technically faster, but only if you arent making it in bulk.
If you have two people then a skillet is fine, but the moment you need to go to a second batch the oven is superior.
Now you know what is even faster, and keeps it crispier with almost no chance of burning? skillet + cooking in water

Started this exact procedure over 10 years ago and never looked back.

Bacon in the air fryer works great as some have already mentioned. Bacon grease collects in the basket and is easy to collect and save.

Get back to me when you deep fry it.

Have you ever tried cooking it in a pan with water? That will change your life. I still do bacon in the oven when I am cooking for a group of people otherwise the pan water method is king for consistency and quality of cook.

I have nothing to add except start with cold oven and sam's parchment paper is excellent (far superior to reynolds imo). Oven bacon is the only way to go if you need to cook a pound

To make oven bacon even crisper. Get a spray bottle with water and wet the bacon when it's getting close to finished, and pull it out once that water evaporates. Helps the bacon continue to render without drying out.

If you need a lot of bacon the oven is great. If you just need some pieces to go with some eggs a press is quick and easy PLUS you have a nice grease to cook your eggs with already ready to go.

That's pretty much what I do. Start off with 1/2 cup, or more, of bacon grease that has been saved from previous cooks. Melt it in a cast iron skillet and fry the bacon in 1/2"-1" of bacon grease. Turns out perfectly crispy, even the fat. Clean up is a breeze...just strain the grease back into the same jar it's stored in and wipe out the skillet.

put it on a wire rack, the best way to get bacon grease.

Wire rack extends the cooking time(but I think it's worth it and that is my method too), but lay some tinfoil on the baking sheet and not only can you collect the grease, but you can also keep the sheet pan clean.

I like it in the oven also unless I'm cooking bacon in my cast iron pot before browning onions.

Between two paper towels in the microwave is the easiest way.

I eat 3 pieces every morning using this method. takes 3 minutes to cook it, let it cool for 3 minutes to harden, tastes fine to me

My mother in law showed me this trick. Takes about 30-45 mins but holy frick the bacon is absolutely perfect. Clean up is pretty easy too if you line your baking sheet with foil below. You can trap the grease for reuse and toss away what you don’t want. Just have to clean your baking rack

Wife does this. Not as easy as a skillet but damn it is good. Straight, flat, nice soft crunch.. not a hard skillet crunch. Fat cooks perfectly in the oven.
I'm not as patient. Skillet for me.

I guess if you’re only cooking a few pieces the skillet is faster.
When I cook bacon I’m almost always cooking a whole pack. I can fit the whole pack on a baking tray, prep to cook time is 20ish minutes.
Cooking a whole pack in my skillet is 30 minutes because my skillet will only fit 4-5 pieces
