simple question, would it be ok to wear shorts. simple answer is NO. Thanks for the answers and responses, it's a wonder more people don't post questions on this board when they get a bunch on condescending answers.

thank god people dont post every stupid arse question that comes to their head on this board. maybe we should be more condescending so people dont get the notion they can create a new thread asking if they should wear pants or shorts to eat lunch

Most adults know they shouldn't wear shorts to a nice dinner. This is also the food and drink board, not the fashion board.

Would wearing a long sleeve button down shirt and Khaki shorts be a NO for Friday dinner at Clancy’s?

Just go to Walk On's if you're going like that

"resort casual" isn't really appropriate for Clancy's

it might work for a trendy tourist spot in the CBD but not clancy's. put on some pants

I don't think that's what he was implying. He was just questioning why it's "wrong" to wear a long sleeve shirt and shorts in general.

ETA: which I agree with. It's definitely not appropriate for a nice dinner, but I don't think it's wholly inappropriate attire.

When in doubt go short sleeves and long pants versus long sleeves and short pants.

Or long sleeves and long pants.

But after 12 years old, you dont need the get up you describe.
