About once a year I want a good Chili Dog. I usually get Oscar Mayer all Angus beef dogs and Hormel Chili.
What other brands of dogs are good?
What good brand of chili?
What Fast Food places have good dogs?

I agree. I could eat a good chili dog about every other day!

At my house - Bryan Juicy Jumbos (all beef), Hormel chili, no beans. Any decent looking hot dog buns, Cabbage cut as slaw, mixed with mustard, chopped onions. Build two, eat, wait until next day, do again. repeat as often as needed to keep hot dog monkey off back.

Wash down with A&W Diet Root Beer. A few kettle chips would be nice, but off of my diet since February, 2017.

Build them to look like this

another time

Bunless, for no carb days

It’s also imperative that you boil/steam the weiners as opposed to nuking them in the microwave like some people choose to do

My wife likes them Bryan Red weenies boiled till they crooked, I'll eat them but I don't like them. I like Ball Park or Nathans heated up on a griddle.

ETA;
1. I like home made chilli, if not Hormel

2. Forgot about Hebrew National those are really good.

3. You can buy Lucky Dogs at Rouses now, I haven't tried them but I intend too, maybe tomorrow night for Halloween.

Bison dogs from Costco. You will never eat another type of hotdog ever again.

That's far too infrequent. Enjoying a chili dog is one of life's simple pleasures.

I'm a heathen. I like Nathan's franks grilled up on the Foreman (surprisingly good for this task), on regular old Bunny buns toasted up in the toaster oven, then slathered in that cheapass Castleberry Austex "chili sauce" (yes, the botulism makes it taste better) mixed with a handful of finely shredded cheddar that's been nuked to warm it and melt the cheddar into the "chili sauce". I definitely need a fork to eat chili dogs when I make them for myself.

In Baton Rouge, Frankie's Dawg House has a pretty banging chili dog. National chain? Sonic?

come to Lafayette. We get chili dogs for breakfast about 3 days a week.

Along with boudin and cracklins and Meche's donuts.

Edie's biscuits and blueberry muffins if you really want us to do business with you.

Hebrew national with Hormel or just quick homemade chili.

Boil dogs, put shredded cheese on bun under the dog so it melts. Then mustard, chili, more cheese, and chopped onions on top.

I've got leftover chili in the fridge. I guess I know what I'm doing for dinner.
