This is pretty shitty. I liked this place. Great little neighborhood spot that wasn't expensive and had great food.

Landlord is trying to force a new, shittier, more expensive lease on them. Frank Brigtsen says the lease is just something that they can not in good faith agree to. This is a damn shame.

Yeah, I read the Facebook post this morning. Landlord should remember what that building was doing before the Brightsen people took it over. I really liked that place.

Economic stupidity. Only reason that crappy property is worth anything is because of the establishment there. Dumbass.

This sucks, but that location will make one hell of a Tshirt shop.

That's ridiculous! It is packed almost every night! Now it's going to sit empty. I hope the landlord loses money but I don't want to see the restaurant go. Maybe he can relocate nearby.

Most of their business was local. In fact I venture to say about 99% of their business was people that lived within a 5-10 mile radius. It's ridiculous that some greedy a-hole wants to up the rent. Either it's getting raised a shite ton or Frank isn't making as much on the restaurant as you'd think. The prior is probably more true than the latter.

I think it's worth it. They do some solid food. Last time i was there I had the grilled gulf fish with a little crab meat, lemon and butter sauce and sauteed greens. It was perfectly simple and very good.

Probably. I had a really good lunch there Tuesday. There goes one from the rotation.

New owners, name, and menu. I've only been twice since the change. Glass might be able to add more.

Just had dinner there tonight sign on the door says they're being evicted. The land lord is a scum bag. He sees the place packed( hello can u say lent) and he wants more $. I am a regular here, and I hope Frank gives Harahan the middle finger salute and takes Charlie's to River Ridge. He won't lose support, and that will show the a hole land lord what's up. I know the main reason he took it over in the first place was that it was a restaurant from his childhood, but it can move and still be viable.

Complete shite. Frank and Marna don't deserve that from a landlord. I wish them luck in finding a new location and hope decent business owners boycott the vacant space.
