I catch way more shite for being pretentious because of the beer I drink than I give. I have really never cared what someone else is drinking, but God forbid I ask what kind of beer before accepting.

I have been made fun of for drinking craft beer a few times. The biggest ration of shite I got was from friends when I politely declined a Miller Lite, when it was the only thing available. I am not against drinking Miller Lite, but as someone said earlier, I generally limit the number of beers I drink in a day to just a couple, and I don't want to waste them on BMC.

My friends (this was when I lived in Florida) ragged me for being a beer snob for some time after that. I converted a couple of them, though...

Thank goodness for beers like Founders All Day IPA, Sierra Nevada Otra Vez and Bell's The Oarsman. I can drink those by the pool all day long, enjoy the full flavor, yet not drink anything above 4.7% ABV, which is basically the same ABV of all the crappy light lagers. I'm an adult with a good job, so $8-9 a six pack is perfectly fine for my to pay for those beers, and I don't have to stoop down to watered down crap.

I also avoid crappy cheap burgers (McDonalds, Burger King, etc), pizza (Little Caesar's) and other inferior products sold at low prices to the masses, so I'm not just picking on beer. Eat and drink what you like though.

To each his own. But it is undeniable that a good number of craft brew aficionados judge those of us who enjoy an ice cold Bud Light.

I've been told I drink "queer beer" way more than I've said anything about someone choosing to drink Bud Light. I don't understand the appeal for Bud Light and the like. I really don't. They don't taste good to me, and I generally avoid eating or drinking things I don't like the taste of. Hell, going back to college in the mid-90s, I thought I didn't like beer because I didn't like how Bud Light tasted. It turns out, I just didn't like light lagers. I was the always the guy that bought a pitcher of Turbodog for the table, because I couldn't stand the taste of Bud Light. And I got made fun of it then, just like you're doing now, 20 years later. And I have zero fricks to give about that.

I'm just debunking the "I don't want to drink a 7% ABV IPA out in the sun all day" argument I hear about why people drink tasteless 4.2% rice-infused lagers. There are plenty of full flavored beers available with a similar ABV that won't fill you up. Just named a few. I can name a lot more if you like.
