I’m sure it’s been talked about here but this brand is frickin delicious for a quick, flavorful meal. I only use the Cajun spaghetti sauce now when making spaghetti and have previously tried the chicken stew. I made the shrimp stew the other night & it was perfection that took maybe 20 minutes.

Anyone tried their other products? Interested in the gumbo, but I’m picky about my gumbo.

Have never tried their gumbo.

Their chili and sloppy Boudreaux is pretty darn good.

solid products. Try the gumbo as you can improvise on flavor / taste by adding seasonings .

Their Worcestershire sauce is very good a well. Has a more garlic flavor than the usual.
I can attest to the chili and sloppy Joe mix as well. Both very good!

I add the garlic sauce to most wet recipes and it's a fantastic duck marinade. of the bottled meals, I think the smothered chicken is the best. The gumbo, if you're pressed for time, is actually worth doing.

recently found it here in NTX and added some chopped brisket I had in the freezer, best chili I had in a long time.

Here's a link to another thread on CP products. It also has a link to an older thread on them.

I’ve tried a lot of their stuff. I can vouch for the spaghetti sauce. It’s legit really good. My favorite of the store bought jar sauces.

Their whole line is great. Spaghetti and Chic Stew are my favorites.

The owner Carrol Thomas and my dad went to high school together, they live about a mile away just north of Abbeville,,,,,the plant is on his property that he built his house on,,,he started this stuff in the late 70s and we got to try most of his stuff as it came out,,,,haven’t found abad thing,,,,tidbit, Tabasco tried to buy the chili and a few other things,,,,he wouldn’t sell,,,,they told him they would break the recipe down, but they never could. Tabasco has a product out but it’s not even close.

The spaghetti sauce is really good but the chili starter is legit awesome. It’s so much better than the powder mixes like 2 alarm or Carol Shelby’s. It’s really good. I’ll have to try out their other products as well.

Their Gumbo and stew base are the same product, only difference is you add more liquid to the Gumbo.
