My biggest regret is that we never made it to C’est Bon, which is one of the places I really wanted to go.

I live less than 10 minutes from there and you should have gone. Pretty much anything there is good. Boiled crawfish is my favorite and the etoufee is really good.

I love little places like that. The food from them is more often than not amazing.

Handwritten menus, nothing fancy. Plastic utensils, wooden benches to sit at, foam cups for cokes..... Those places are so great.

Can't believe you were doing a food road trip, went to Marksville, and didn't go to Brown Bag. If you would have gone there instead of the casino buffet, the trip would have been much better!

I visited Cest Bon in 2013 and had been wanting to return ever since. Oh well, maybe next year.

Great stuff.

You should have done like the mcdonalds guy in the documentary and filmed it all and done blood work before you left and the day you got back. Lol

While in marksville you should've gone across the street from Paragon to Juneau's. Great stuff there!
Next time.

This is awesome. Thanks Glorious. Id like to do a boudin trail tour and incorporate some of these stops (Suires, Hawks, etc...)

Suires is awesome but damn they sure are proud of their stuff. And don't try buying beer there without getting looks....

I actually did a boudin tour back in October. Many disagreed with my results and stood by their personal favorites, but the thing to remember is that it was a blind taste test so there was no favoritism.

I've been to Juneau's before. Good stuff, especially the cracklins. I just prefer the boudin at T-Jim's.

I pass by Harry's all the time and never stop. I really don't know why. I think I usually would just rather go to Hogtails in 5th Ward for a Bud-light and two chicken crispitos.

I was very pleasantly surprised by Harry's. Certainly not healthy, but definitely cheap and quick.
