How’s the boudin and sausage/tasso? Worth stopping in?

Thank you in advance.

Thank you. Your reply already has two upvoted, so looks like I’m definitely giving it a shot this morning.

Get the Jalapeno sausage cheese bread.
Their boudin is really good. It ranks in my top 3 or 4 for Lafayette.

Oddly enough, I've never tried their sausage or tasso. I've always gone there strictly for the cheese bread, and the boudin was always lagniappe.

Agree with Oteece. Boudin is really good.

Their sausages and tasso are also top notch.

And yes—get the damn bread. It’s effing great.

Big fan of Bourque’s.

Well then this should come as a surprise to you, it was closed just now when I tried going by. Guess I’ll just load up at Kartchner’s later.

Their boudin is good. Their sausage isn't in the same league.

Plate lunches are great as well. Also try the hamburger on the jalapeno sausage cheese bread bun it comes with !!!

I figured they were closed today due to Friday after Thanksgiving. However, I did see on their website before going that they don’t open till 9am. That seems late for a place that would make a good bit of money from hot boudin and cracklin sales. People like to stop at those sorts of places on the way to work or while enjoying a relaxing Saturday morning coffee drive.

Boudin and sausage are worth it. So is the jalapeno bread. Im not big on their tasso and andouille sausage though.

Thumbs up on their boudin, and they don't mess around with the heat either...very heavy on the Jalapeño.

It's in a strange location. If you didn't know it was there, you probably wouldn't notice it driving on Johnson. Employees don't wear masks.

Whose? Kartchners?

Kartchners smoked sausage is fantastic. And so is their boudin.

Their boudin is really good, it’s a little more wet than others.

Sausage is good.
Same quality you get from sausage in Ville platte.
Ponce is great there too.
I’d imagine their tasso is good too.

Yeah I bring boudin and cracklins to the office in the morning so that won’t work for me
