I see they have recipes for boiled peanuts online, but it is for bulk peanuts. I am looking to do just a few pounds like 4-5 pounds, we want the Cajun but not so spicy you can't eat them, any suggestions on how to do a small amount. Thanks

I’ve been doing about 3 lbs at a time. Season water to the point of too spicy and salty with whatever you like. I have a little bag of Chackbay I’ve been using. About 2 Tbs for three pounds. I say too spicy because you wouldn’t drink it. But it doesn’t kill the peanuts.
Rinse peanuts. Put them in the Instant Pot. Cover with spicy water. High pressure for 75 minutes and natural release for 30 minutes.

I boil 4 lbs of jumbo peanuts in an 8 quart pressure cooker (15 psi) for 90 minutes. Cool pot in tap water, Freeze most in quart bags.

Just boiling peanuts takes 8-10 hours OP, I don’t remember it’s been awhile buts it’s a long time. Best way is instapot or crockpot as said.

I NEVER boil peanuts that long. They will turn to mush if boiled for all those hours.
I just boiled 2 bags of large raw peanuts I got from Rouses last week and they turned out great and they were in the water no more than 2 hours time before I drained them and vacuum sealed some to freeze and bagged the rest to eat fresh.
I do use seafood boil in the water as my base seasoning since both the wife and I love the taste.
To add a little twist, I'll sometimes take enough to put on a baking sheet and put them in my oven set on the lowest setting for a couple hours to help dry them out a bit and lightly roast them for a totally different texture.

Soak Jumbos for an hour in cold water.
Fresh water, salt, peanuts
Boil for an hour. Add ice to shock them and soak in the salt water (cold makes them shrivel, and soak in the water)
Finish boiling until you're happy. I like mine a little firm

Stalekracker On YouTube put out a video a couple weeks ago about this. I don’t remember exactly he did, but our local Winn Dixie sells huge cans that are decent. One of those big cans would be enough for two people, just heat them up.

Beef bullion paste, pinch of crab boil(very small amount), LeBlanc’s seasoning…

I have had good success using a crock pot to cook around 3 lbs at a time. Put them on the day before you want them on low. The next day after they been cooking about 16 hrs I start sampling. Pull them when they reach the desired tenderness. I suppose this can be accelerated by switching the setting to high but it always works better for my schedule cooking them slow.
You’ll have to experiment with the salt to get it the way you like. I usually put about a 1/3 to 1/4 cup of salt and 8 tablespoons of liquid concentrate crab boil.
Oh and I usually set my crock pot up on my back porch as the smell from the crab boil gets strong when inside.

As the resident Jew that hasn't been run off
No wonder as to why you would have a problem with boiled peanuts. Religion and hot dogs with a Jew Dog are about the only thing, outside of money and power y’all got going.

Local supermarkets here in the N.O. area. I get them from the local Rouses market and they are found in the produce section in their stores along with dry roasted bags of peanuts that you just peel and eat.

You want to use green peanuts. None that I'm aware of in Nola stores. Closest from here is Berrytown Produce in Hammond/Ponchatoula or Southside Produce up in south BR.
Matherne's in La Place usually has them, but they let them sit out and get dry so I don't get them there.

Have you looked in the refrigerated section at local grocery stores?
