Can anyone recommend a couple good Biloxi restaurants for dinner?

Can't go wrong with Mary Mahoney's. Make time for a drink at the bar before you get a table.

What are you looking to eat?

That would help.

100000% agree on White Pillars. Easily the most "surprisingly good" meal of my life based upon what I was expecting going in (which was a nice average meal). Love the old school feel of the bar.

White Pillars and Vestige for fine dining. In 35 minutes you could get to the Jourdan River Steamer…which is an outrageously good steamed seafood restaurant. The JRS is something you can’t find in NOLA, with top notch service and amazingly sourced crabs and royal reds.

Looks great, with the price of king crab legs these days I just wonder how much that platter would cost today

Wow, just checked their website and it lists steamed king crabs going for $93/pound

Bacchus on the beach in Pass Christian has a new sister spot in Biloxi I think. It's not fancy but it is good.

I went to Mary Mahoney's the other day and was not too impressed. Mediocre service, high prices, and very average food. They talk a big game about freshest crab in the area and being an old-time New Orleans spot, and that's just not true. Maybe it was a bad night, but I wasn't too impressed.

Burgers? The Project lounge.
Burnt ends and onion danglers? Murky waters in Ocean Springs but get there early because they run out quick.

Seems that it’s been this way for 15 years. Just coasting by on reputation similar to how Brennans was doing before they were sold and turned into a respectable place again.

Never been to the White Pillars. I need to try it.

My favorites are in the Beau Rivage -
BR Prime is my favorite, especially if someone else is picking up the tab.
I also like Stalla (Italian) and Jia (Asian).

For casual seafood I like the Half Shell Oyster Bar across the highway.

I have been going to Mary Mahoney's for 40 years. I enjoy the atmosphere but the food and the menu (except for the prices) have not changed much during that time.

Oh, it’s expensive AF. Brought my son there for his 17th birthday…I think his 3 snow crab clusters were more than $70.

Vestige is $100/ person without alcohol, so not much different.

That platter was the SS Minnow ($110) plus a King leg, but I don’t remember if it was more than a pound. My wife and I went for an anniversary, so we got some champagne and just ate until we couldn’t.

Agree with Mary Mahoney's pretty much being on cruise control. White Pillars is excellent, and last time down there we went to Fields, right next door to Mahoney's. It was really excellent. Drinks were superb as well

Don’t waste your time with Half Shell.

White Pillars, BR Prime for steak, Mahoneys just because you should go, Charred in OS ain’t bad. Bacchus and Fields are the same as the others along the coast/BSL, not bad…. Same owner.

And yeh…. If you can swing the Steamer, make a run.

Friend,

King crab is going for $30-40/lb in markets now. Sams has it at $35/lb. Why would someone pay $90+ to eat it in a restaurant? Steaming takes no skill.

Mary Mahoney’s is the best restaurant in Biloxi.

Yours,
