Covington, Madisonville, Abita, Lacombe and NOLA are all too far. Has to be in Mandeville.

I know, the choices are slim....Saia's or Bears? Any others?

Strictly for a roast beef po boy, I'd choose Bears.

The only problem with Saia's is we can't eat it there, which is why Bears is a stong lean.

Thanks!

Idk if the bears on the north shore is different from the one on metairie road. But the one on metairie rd is overatted.

I'd go with Bear's or Mandina's.

Bear's is the only correct answer here.

Monster Poboys in the shopping center with tacobell and fresh market where 190 turns into 22 is decent.

Rag's is on 22 just past the Beau Chene entrance. decent as well.

Bear's is the best though. Unfortunately for you, the one in Covington is actually better than the one in Mandeville for RB. Still very good in Mandeville.

Has anyone eaten at Pontchartrain Po-Boys on 22 in Mandeville? It's behind that fruit stand, in same strip as Megumi.

Yes. It's located behind Fazzio's in the strip center off of Causeway & 22.

When Tom Fitzmorris does his ads for Bear's, he never mentions the Covington location. Just Mandeville and Slidell.

My assumption is that there were family issues and that they were not on the same page.

Now there's one in Metairie as well?

Yeah it's pretty good. They have good plate lunches as well and give you a lot of food for your dollar. Only problem is there aren't many seats in that place if you are looking to dine in.

I ate there once and didn't think it was all that great. Have heard the same from other folks recently.
