The Lunchbox in Waveland is worth the detour

here is a little secret gem for you all...
Sam's Super Burger
Just a little spot to grab a burger, hot dog, chicken tenders, ice cream etc. It is nothing fancy by any means. It reminds me of a small town hole in the wall spot (because that is what it is)
It is just a mile north of I-10 off the Grand Bay exit (first exit in AL when traveling east)
You will thank me later

That may be the first time I've ever heard someone recommend anything in Tillman's Corner.
You mean besides The Candy Store?

We did Felix's fish camp right past Mobile last time we drove that way, on the water, enjoyed it.
There was another place directly across the road that looked good too.
That's probably The Bluegill. Haven't been there in years but it was a pretty cool beer-and-oysters hangout on the bayou back in the day.

Well, obviously besides the Candy Store.

Great place. Everything I’ve had there has been pretty good.
Red Zone in Diamondhead has great lunch specials.
Both of those places are right off I10.

Are you looking for something good or quick?
Dick Russell’s BBQ in Mobile is where I would go if I didn’t want to venture away from the interstate.
If I was not in a hurry I would go to someplace in Biloxi by the beach. Maybe Mary Mahoney’s.
If the weather is nice I would go to the Blind Tiger in Bay St Louis. Decent food in atmospheric surroundings.

This I agree with. The Shed is absolutely horrible. I don't understand why people rave about this place.

The obvious answer now is Bucee's. Gas, fountain drink, brisket sandwich, beaver nuggets, and jerky. 10-20 minutes top and you're back on the road.

The wife and I stop by Baumhower's in Foley. Real quick for lunch. Great wings and gooey fries.

I couldn’t wait to try it when it came back. Saw their prices and said nope. Those are local place prices.
