I’ve been digging the Hardcore Carnivore rubs. The Red great for pork and chicken and the Black is great on beef. My favorite sauce is Austin’s Own.

I like Bad Byrons for pork butts. Dizzy Pig tsunami spin or dizzy dust for everything else pork or chicken. Surprised nobody has mentioned any of their blends. They are awesome.

Salt, pepper, and garlic for steak and brisket.

I like Sweet Baby Rays for a classic bbq sauce. I’ve been using Frog Bone’s bayou bbq lately on chicken and I really like it.

Brisket - S&P. Can buy Killens or HEB or just make your own.
Pork Shoulders - S&P followed by Sweet Rub o' Mine
Ribs - experimenting but S&P and Bad Byrons last week.

I'm not convinced rubs made a whole lotta difference on briskets and shoulders meaning there's a lot of latitude.

Sause - most of Terry Black's are good. If just making sandwiches with pulled pork almost anything with a sweet side will do.

Meat church
Kosmos q

Recently found some stuff at Walmart. Thinks it called fire and smoke society. They had about 8 different ones. I have used the Cherry cola rub and the potatoes seasoning. Both were very good.

I tend to like the mustard/vinegar style sauces, like Foy's or Freddy B's, but for a sweet heat style sauce, this is pretty good. It's also very good as a glaze when you are doing a spiral sliced ham on the grill.

Personally, don’t like sauces w sweet…. dreamland is tangy/no sweet. One of the few I will buy.

As far as rubs, I used a mixture of stuff in my kitchen…. Haven’t found anything I love.

Another vote for Hardcore Carnivore Black seasoning. Makes a great bark on brisket and is excellent on steaks as well. The killer hogs AP and BBQ rub are really good on pork. Not bad on chicken either. Usually stick to sweet baby rays for BBQ sauce, but would like to branch out more. Both Hardcore Carnivore and Killer Hog rubs can be found at Academy along with the Meatchurch rubs.

I prefer Strawberry's Rub for most of my chicken and pork. It is very good and much cheaper than most. If you like a thin vinegar based sauce on pork, the Blues Hog Tennessee Red is tough to beat.

Bad Byron's is in my rotation.

I just posted a thread for The Spice Lab taco seasoning, and I use it like a rub for Wings, fajita meat, and quesadillas. It's spicier than most taco seasonings, but not overly hot. It also has smoked paprika and chipotle pepper so it has a smoky flavor. It's my current favorite, and I'm using it today, as we are having quesadillas for dinner.
